GTI Spindle Technology Inc., Manchester, N.H., recently opened a state-of-the-art facility in North Carolina that the company said is capable of repairing and rebuilding high-precision spindles, including those made by Makino, Mazak, Kessler, Gamfior, Enshu and OKK.

"Now that we are fully operational we are excited to be able to meet the high demand we've already seen since opening the facility," said Lisa Bailey-Beavers, GTI Spindle vice president of sales.

The new facility also provides on-site predictive maintenance services such as vibration analysis routes for customers who want to ensure maximum uptime and reliability for their facilities. The company's predictive maintenance services along with its spindle repair capabilities "create a powerful uptime and reliability combination to ensure no asset big or small is out of commission at an inopportune time," according to GTI.

The new location extends GTI's reach to serve customers in the Southeast. GTI inspects, repairs and remanufactures spindles and other precision rotating assemblies,  including super precision high frequency, motorized, belt and gear-driven spindles with special emphasis on Japanese, German and Italian high-speed machining centers.

The newly constructed facility is hosting an open house in August.
