Iscar Metals Inc. expanded the Heliturn lay-down family of inserts produced with the Sumo Tec grades. The new WNMX, CNMX and DNMX inserts have high-positive radial, helical cutting edges and positive rake angles. The combination substantially reduces cutting forces, according to the company. The inserts’ corner angle is 88° to enhance strength. The inserts are for heavy machining applications.
