The KMT Waterjet Streamline PRO 125hp 90,000psi pump is featured in this video cutting 12 diameter cast steel. Using a .016 orifice, with two pounds per minute abrasive feed rate, at .25 inches per minute, the cast steel was cut in 49 minutes. As the steel rested on a two inch metal plate, the power of the water jet stream actually cut completely through the metal plate as well, ultimately cutting 14 of steel with the KMT Waterjet Streamline PRO 125.

Since 1971, KMT Waterjet Systems Inc., the global leader in waterjet cutting technology, has manufactured precision-accurate, high-pressure waterjet pumps with pressure up to 90,000psi/125 HP, cutting nozzles, abrasive systems and replacement parts (valves, fittings and tubing). KMT Waterjet Systems are used in a wide variety of industries including automotive, military, aerospace, tile, stone, food, textiles, rubber, foam, glass and much more.
KMT offers a full spectrum of products, from Streamline™ S-30, 30 hp/60,000 PSI water jet pumps for economical system integration to the massive power and maximum cutting speed of the 125hp/90,000 PSI Streamline™ PRO pump. KMT Waterjet cutting heads are precision perfect with the Autoline™ abrasive nozzle being rated the best in independant testing by the University of Missouri/Science & Technology.
The IDE™ (Integrated Diamond Eductor) abrasive waterjet cutting head provides breakthrough simplicity and performance with its one-piece design and permanent, perfectly mounted diamond orifice. KMT also offers a full line of durable, high pressure valves, fittings and tubing called PSC (Precision System Components). PSC parts are pressure rated from 5,000psi to 100,000psi, and maintain the warranty on your KMT pumps and cutting heads.
Waterjet cutting is an economical and cleaner way of cutting virtually any materials up to 9” thick. Waterjet is a cool cutting process with no heat zone, holds a tolerance of.005” and is environmentally safe.
KMT Waterjet Systems Inc. introduces the Next Generation of waterjet pumps, an ultra high pressure (UHP) 90,000 PSI/6.200 bar pump available in 60hp & 125hp. The KMT Streamline PRO® 125 pump uses the largest orifice in the waterjet cutting industry and is the solution for manufacturers requiring maximum performance and exceptional value!
The water jet pump has been called the heart of the water jet system, pressurizing the water to thousands of pounds per square inch and then pushing it through to the cutting head, where it will be emitted at high velocities through a tiny orifice. With such an important role to fill, the pump must be able to meet high usage demands and precision requirements.
It is the abrasive in abrasive waterjet, not the water, which enables steel, bronze, alloy, and granite cutting. However, the addition to abrasive to high pressure water does not compromise a cutting system’s ability to perform detail work. In fact, abrasive waterjet cutting is capable of extreme detailing, as well as cutting both thin and thick materials with little material loss and almost no need for secondary finishing.
Water jet cutting applications are broken down into two categories and require a specific cutting nozzle for each: Water-only Pneumatic Valve and Abrasive Nozzle. Water-only cutting applications are found in the food industry (vegetables, frozen foods) rubber, soft composites, textile, fabric, paper, foam, leather, and much more. Abrasive waterjet using the KMT Autoline II or KMT IDE cutting nozzles are for applications which include titanium, steel, glass, tile, brass, aluminum, and stone cutting, as well as many other materials.
