Star Cutter Co. receives ISO registration

Star SU LLC, Hoffman Estates, Ill., announced that Star Cutter Co. has received a certificate of registration for ISO 9001:2008. Star Cutter was initially registered to the ISO-90001:1994 standard in January 1998 and remained registered to the updated ISSO-9001 standards through May 2009. The company has now received its registration and recertification after assessment of the company’s quality management system and found it to be compliance with ISO 90001:2008 by third-party registrar NSF-ISRR, based in Ann Arbor, Mich. The scope of registration is for the manufacturer of precision gear-cutting tools, round tools, deep-hole drills and solid carbide tools; special tungsten carbide preforms, extruded product and machine tools.

The certificate of registration represents a company-wide accomplishment achieved by all Star SU and Star Cutter Co. locations, including Hoffman Estates, Farmington Hills, Mich., East Tawas, Mich., Elk Rapids, Mich., Lewiston, Mich., Ossineke, Mich., and Queretaro, Mexico.
