AuctionPriceResults provides real-time actual auction pricing on six categories of commercial equipment on its Web site, www.auctionpriceresults.com.

The categories include lab and medical; industrial machinery; agriculture and construction; truck and trailer; and food service and production.

The searchable database contains thousands of comparable prices of equipment sold at auction around the world, according to the company.

The data is compiled through AuctionPriceResults’ proprietary algorithmic search software and the reporting of hundreds of associated auction houses. With this information users can determine the price buyers are willing to pay for the equipment, according to Jonathon Bishop, president of AuctionPriceResults.

The price a piece of equipment sells at auction is the most accurate reflection of actual cash value (ACV) of that piece at that time, he added.

Bishop said buyers, sellers, lenders, auctioneers, insolvency professionals and appraisers use AuctionPriceResults’ database of ACV auction comparables for acquisitions and disposition of assets.

“Knowledge of the ACV of a used front loader, or a centrifuge, is critical to both the buyer and the seller,” said Bishop in a statement. “Our online service provides those prices to everyone—buyers, sellers, appraisers, lenders. We provide the answer to the buyer’s and the seller’s two most critical questions: ‘What’s it worth?’ and ‘Where can I find it?’”

Users that search the database for pricing information are simultaneously linked to AuctionPriceResults’ proprietary BuyerFinder site, a free search engine that finds equipment being offered at upcoming auctions and by sellers with equipment available for immediate sale.
