The National Association for Business Resources (NABR) recently named Seco Tools, Troy, Mich., one of the “Best and Brightest Companies to Work For” in the country. It’s also the third time this year Seco has received an award for its best practices in human resources.

In addition to this award, Corp! Magazine identified Seco as one of “Metropolitan Detroit’s 101 Best Places to Work For” and the Detroit Free Press listed the company as one of the “Top 100 Workplaces” in Michigan.

“It’s certainly a great honor to be acknowledged as a top workplace at the local level, but being nationally recognized is truly amazing,” said Jennifer Ostroff, HR programs manager for Seco. “Seco puts a lot of time and effort into making sure its employees stay motivated, engaged and inspired, and these top workplace distinctions help validate the company’s role as an employer of choice.”

An independent research firm reviewed several key measures when selecting the 89 “Best and Brightest Companies to Work For” in the country. Such measures included communication, community initiatives, compensation and benefits, diversity and multiculturalism, employee education and development, employee engagement and commitment, recognition and retention, and recruitment and selection.

Seco and the other businesses being nationally recognized will be part of the January online edition of Corp! Magazine. These companies will also receive additional recognition at a “Best and Brightest Companies to Work For” awards symposium and gala.
